What about Season 6 of “Money Heist” on Netflix?
Unfortunately, this is not the case. There will not be a sixth instalment of this Netflix original series. But don’t get too worked up over it. This cosmos is still far from being completed.
Is There a Money Heist Spinoff in the Works?
Bingo. In November, Netflix revealed that a new Lex Pina series, named Berlin, will be coming to the streaming service. There’s not a lot of information available about this upcoming series right now. But as soon as we learn more, we’ll let you know.
What Could the Theme of Berlin Be?
As is obvious, the new series will center on fan favorite Berlin (Pedro Alonso), aka Andrés de Fonollosa, nicknamed “The Professor’s” brother (Lavrov Morten), who will also appear in the film.
Beyond that, though, little is known about the series. As a result of Berlin’s death in Part 2, it is safe to assume that this new part will not take place after the conclusion of Money Heist. However, there are still a plethora of stories that may be explored in this series.
Andrés and Sergio were born into a family of thieves and crooks, as shown in the last episodes of the series. What did that look like when you were a kid? So, what did their early heists look like before they became known as The Professor and Berlin? In this episode, we learn more about Rafael’s (Patrick Cried) mother and how she fits into this whole situation. These are the kinds of questions that we’re hoping Berlin will be able to address.
When Is Berlin Going to Be Released on Netflix?
At the moment, the series is slated to premiere in 2023, according to the studio. Given the fact that Money Heist had a very reliable release schedule, it appears that this deadline is doable as well. Even if COVID-19 causes another delay, we are hopeful that this will not be the case this time around.
